Moss Arts Center

Moss Arts Center

Opened in October 2013, the Moss Arts Center serves as the cornerstone of the burgeoning arts district in downtown Blacksburg.

The state-of-the-art facility located at the corner of Main Street and Alumni Mall features a 1,260-seat performance hall, visual arts galleries, the multi-functional, four-story experimental Cube, and multiple studios. Offering performances year-round, six to eight exhibitions annually, and a variety of learning opportunities, the Center for the Arts will create world-class experiences for audiences of all ages. The Institute for Creativity, Arts, and Technology (ICAT), also housed within the Moss Arts Center, leverages Virginia Tech’s strengths in the arts, design, engineering, and science.

Just prior to opening, the Center was named after reknowned artist Patricia Buckley Moss, in recognition of her financial contributions to the Center and her philanthropy in arts education.
