Getting around Blacksburg couldn't be easier! Blacksburg Transit, better known as BT, offers affordable and accessible transportation to the local community. BT also offers a specialized door-to-door paratransit service, BT ACCESS, for riders unable to use the regular service. BT ACCESS picks up customers at their door and safely transports them to their destination. The combination of these two vital services ensure the residents and visitors of Blacksburg can get anywhere they need to go, even to Christiansburg via the Two Town Trolley.
Need to go to Roanoke? Why not ride the Smart Way? The Smart Way offers service between Roanoke and the New River Valley, providing residents with an affordable and stress free way to commute for work, a day of shopping or a trip to the nearest commercial airport, Roanoke-Blacksburg Regional Airport. Several trips daily make this an easy, cost effective way of traveling.
What about traveling to or from Radford? For residents, commuters, or Radford University students, the Radford Transit is a great option. It travels around Radford as well as to Blacksburg and Christiansburg.
Traveling outside of the area, the Megabus has a stop in neighboring Christiansburg at the Falling Branch Park and Ride located off of I-81 at exit 118A. Megabus stops are located all over the United States and offer an affordable, alternative means of travel outside of the New River Valley.
