McAfee’s Knob is one of the most popular spots on the Appalachian Trail as it winds its way through Virginia. The beautiful overhang is located on Catawba Mountain and sports views of the Roanoke Valley, Tinker Cliffs, the Shenandoah Valley and North Mountain.
